  • 7.3 lost power, then found it again

A few weeks ago I was pulling my 44' gooseneck and the truck had no power, was dropping gears like crazy and couldn't get up any kind of incline w/o losing speed, I was thinking shit, truck is broke. I parked it for a few days and then had to pull the trailer again, it was back to normal. Anyone had anything like this happen with their 7.3? Truck is a 2001 DRW F350, 199k.

Get all your battery connections cleaned up, especially grounds.

Did you get a check engine light? Check for codes?

Replace fuel filter and run diesel gas additive to clean injectors.

Gotta make sure they are gapped correctly.
