You can get a CZ with 19 or 21 rds and Canik has a 20 rd 9mm too. I have some 17 rd 9mms and they are hefty.

sig m17/18 has 21 round mags as well.

the mags are somewhat awkward though unless you are actually shooting.

Man you love your pocket guns huh?

20+1 of 9mm can "feel" kinda heavy. Probably not as heavy as 10+1 of .45 ACP. Always nice to have the option. My normally carry gun is a Glock 17 with 17+1. No where near as heavy as my steel 1911. Always nice to have the extra capacity and the beauty of it is you don't have to carry the magazine fully loaded. I have some 10 round magazines that I use mostly at the range but when I use those to carry around the house, it's almost like I'm not carry a gun

And as a side note, it's always faster to not have to reload a magazine in a gun fight compared to a 6 round capacity backup gun. I know I know. Who's been in a gun fight here? I just like the size and feel of the grip of a full size gun. Only time I carry a BUG is when riding my bike, trip to the gym, or when going somewhere dressed up and I can't carry a bigger gun (NPE).

I must admit yes I do. This Hellcat to me is the perfect compromise for CC. If I can't stop a threat with 14 rounds I probably should have run away. At the range yes I can totally see the benefit...but for me thats just too large for CC.

I hear ya. I just put together a basterdized Glock 43X (Glock 43X frame with my 43 slide) that I like but still seems to small. I'm perfectly fine EDC'ing my 17.

I could almost picture you carrying a .500 Magnum revolver for CC

A 500 Mag revolver would be great if you’re confident in your marksmanship.

A 454 Casull is about as big of a gun as I've shot or would care to carry. And only when camping for a bear gun. As far as what I own, I use a 10mm when camping up in Colorado and New Mexico for protection. And I carry it from time to time here at home.

Just bought this gun and enjoying it.

Larger a heavier but with big hands it fits just right.

The Springfield XDMs are great shooting guns. The only thing I find odd about them is they have what I consider to be a machine gun trigger; it reminds me of the one in an FN 240.

You carry an extra magazine and an extra gun in case the magazine in the first gun takes a shit or the first gun itself takes a shit.

I've been in a gunfight with other people shooting at me but I've used a long gun and not a handgun in those circumstances.

I wear a 2X glove and have thick wrists; and even then the 454 Casull is tough on my hands and wrists. I prefer the 41 mag or the 44 Mag for big power handguns but I shoot a hell of a lot more than most people do. The sheer round count probably has affected my preference.

My FN FiveSeven holds 20+1 and is actually pretty light. The slide length on the other hand is rather long as compared to other pistols. I would love to use it as my CCW but it’s not that practical unless it’s winter.

I ended up buying a sig p320 xcompact instead.. not sure why, but I wanted the option for a red dot. Plus it feels better in my hand than any other gun I’ve handled
