  • Place to sell a handgun not infested with hood rats and lowballers?

Posted a Kahr CW40 with 3 mags on Texas Gun Trader and Armslist and so far the only people who seem to respond want to meet me in the hood late at night with their state issued ID card (no DL or handgun permit), want to send their "girlfriend" to meet me because they're sick at home...or want to offer me HALF what I'm asking. I mentioned to several that I'd be happy to meet at the "safe sale" spot at the local police department parking lot during daylight with a bill of sale and duplicate...and they stop responding. Never had so much trouble getting rid of a gun.

Fuck FTF sales on weapons. Find a message board with that particular model gun, post whore if you need a certain amount of posts before being able to sale in FS section, or post it up on some gun website you're an established member of and go from there.

You know how to weed them out fast? Tell em you will meet them in the parking lot of the police department. Works for me....... Worked for my mom also in Duncanville, although she questioned the security of their lot. I did tell Jose one time, nothing sketchy about buying a firearm out of the trunk of a squad car.
        Whos your Daddy?

That's exactly what I told them. They vanished.

Where is your sense of adventure? You should consider meeting someone in the middle of the night in the hood to sell them a gun. If you've ever wanted to be able to kill someone legally now is your chance. Selling a better quality gun will also weed out scummy buyers.
Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

Killing someone in self defense is something I am willing to do...but I don't think I want to intentionally put myself in that situation if I can avoid it. As for the quality of the gun...I wasn't aware that a Kahr CW40 was a piece of trash but I guess to some of you brand snobs on here anything less than a 1500 dollar gun is garbage...regardless of your opinion of the gun...when it was given to me I didn't complain..but I already have a carry gun and don't need this one.

Trying to get $300. My mother asked me to sell it for her because she is unable to shoot it. I'd keep it if I didn't already have multiple handguns.

I don't think he was saying it's a junk gun, but $300 is definitely going to bring out the cheap asses

Haha! I had nothing to worry about

I've had good luck selling on Texas Gun Trader, I've managed to sell an AR to a LEO and another gun to a security guard. Jeff are you back in Texas or still in New Mexico? If you need someone to roll with you, let me know.

I bought a VEPR out of the back of an Arlington PD squad car many years ago.

It is the price point not the gun.

Back before Facebook became so extreme socialist I bought and sold several firearms and rifles from the various groups...and I've also done the same in the past on Texas Gun Trader with no issues....not sure why it's become a problem lately. And yes Jose...I've been back in Dallas since February...thanks.

Must have missed that. Welcome back man. Another venue I've had good luck buying and selling firearms on is the Texas CHL Forums message board. You have to have a certain post count before you can sell but it's fairly active there.
