I think you guys are vastly overestimating the support Trump has.

He has eroded his base, not grown it. Plenty are tired of his antics and his poor handling of everything that has happened in 2020.

The battleground states were won because of economic promises that he was able to deliver on (mostly) due to a roaring economy, but the coronavirus shutdowns have wiped all those gains out, and voters have very very short memories when it comes to things like this, and will just see the bungling of the outbreak and not the 4 prior years of strong economic growth.

The inability to go on the road with a re-election tour, fire up voters, and issue stinging talking points is going to hurt him plenty.

hahaha and the alternative is? Trump said something mean on Twitter, so I'm going to vote for the socialist whackos! That will show them!

Trump had nothing to do with the gridlock in Congress or the democrats who stand by and do nothing to induce chaos; and if you think he does, well then you are probably a democrat anyway.

I won't put a sticker on my truck because of my lib clients that it would peev. The guy I bought my house from was the most outspoken conservative on my street, and I'm sure my liberal neighbors won't wince when I plant my Trump sign in the yard. I feed most of them with fresh fish from the coast anyway, have good relations with the ones that matter. I do wear my Trump hat (Trump 2020 Elect That Mf'er Again) everywhere I go and people either say nothing at all or they give me props (more often than not).

See, thats not thinking like your bog-standard voter, who still watches CNN, MSN, NBC News and gets skewed information. No matter what happens in this country or not, the president often takes the blame or the credit as part of the political machine. Been that way since the beginning as they are the figurehead of it all.

And as far as twitter goes, Trump didnt say something "mean" on twitter, he has made himself look like a baffoon several times, and his cabinet continues to be a rotating circus of people in and out with Trumps stance on them changing depending on if they are either in or out.

You think calling General Mattis " the worlds most over-rated general" is a good PR move with veterans and patriots alike who admire him?

Mattis the war machine bureaucrat? It's also not the first time he was let go as a white house employee. I suppose they would also love Bolton as well? In the end it is Trump who calls the shots, those are advisors.

The Twitter thing is sometimes annoying, yes I will agree but not enough for me to say he is inept. If anything it allows him a sense of humor and realness and the ability to get real news out there since every publication lies or twists his words around.

Sometimes I feel like people focus on Trumps flaws almost exclusively. Do they not see Biden for what he is?

We are voting for freedom or communism this time around. I don’t care how mean or how unorthodox he is. At least Trump isn’t a mentally incompetent backed by Communists.

Trump has done more in 3.5 yrs than Biden has done in 50.

It does make him real, and more accessible as a President than anyone before him, except maybe the early presidents where people could literally just stroll up to the white house to petition the president directly.

I just wish someone would channel his energies into productive behavior rather than go down rabbit holes chasing after his detractors on twitter. He should let his actions speak volumes on such achievements as a new NA trade deal and restructuring chinese trade deficits and kickstarting direct talks with North Korea.

It's easy to focus on the President, all eyes are on him, and to be honest, the Cheeto Bandito makes himself a rather easy target.

Trump vs Biden in a debate, barring a complete pooch up by Trump will not go well for Biden. I think Biden will be easily baited out of his coaching to stay calm and stick to his talking points as Trump basically needles and bullies him into gaffes.

Biden’s team will do everything they can to avoid a live debate including have mobs burn down the venue.

It's impossible to not look bad when the entire trillion dollar propoganda machine is against you.

If trump personally developed a cure for COVID, the entire media machine aside from fox News would only point out the side effects and make him out to be a murderer. They would completely ignore the 100K lives saved and focus solely on the 8 people that got the runs.

Stop pretending like he's some specially error prone president.
