Getting closer. The house will be done in time to close 12/14 as planned. I just got word tonight that the shop cannot be started until 12/19. Putting closing at 12/22-23. HOPEFULLY my mortgage broker will allow an affadavit from the builder and let us close on the 14th.

Well, the shop finally went up yesterday. For whatever reason they did not have my roll up doors. We are closing tomorrow at 9:30 and hope to fund by the end of the day. Shop is a 24x40 and will be spray foamed Tuesday. My electrician should be there Wednesday to put in a few circuits and wire for the lights

Thanks! We finally got completely moved out of the old place on Monday. We ran out of room in the storage buildings and had to toss the last truck load into the shop. The shop has been up for a week and a half, they finally got it spray foamed on Saturday, however, they have not installed the roll up doors. This morning I had to move a bunch of my shit due to water. I tried to keep everything away from the doors to prevent any water that may blow in during a rain, however, I didn’t account for the slab not being perfectly level, or being designed to shed water around the door areas. So, hopefully, when I get home from work, all of my stuff isn’t water damaged..

Did you use a drum door by chance?

If so, my lead time went from 6 days to 8-12 weeks during July. They still are 8 weeks out.

                    Yessir. Roll up doors.

                    Do you do overhead doors?

I manufacture metal roofing and siding and sell the doors. I've pretty much given up on selling the drum doors. I sell a lot of pole barns that used to get them, now we use commercial panel doors mainly.

I don't like ordering something and not knowing a lead time, and now with steel shortages it has become even worse

I did a little outside work today. Everything in our subdivision looks the same damn near, and very few have any landscaping. We picked up some indian hawthornes and some ground cover (can't remember what it is.

I also built a window box for the kitchen window. We had a larger window put in the front bedroom so the kitchen window and bedroom window are two different sizes. We felt the window box will help even it out.

                                Thank you

I pared down what we did in front of the garage window to keep it kind of simple. Still a long way to go!
