  • Dude's with dealer licenses - school me

I am looking to a replacement vehicle for my aging 2004 Cavalier with 200,000 miles. I've come across a place called Auto Auction Mall that will let you get on the phone with a specialist with a dealers license to bid on Auction vehicles.

This is one I am particularly interested in, in Wilmer:

It has hail damage - don't care. I care it's a Toyota with 28K. Replace the windshield and Im off. I might do PDR down the road, might not. I just need a commuter car.

What would something like this (or the many other hail damaged cars that are available for auction) go for? Does hail drive away buyers for dealers or do they think of making a quick buck and trying to sell a hail damaged car for just a little bit less than retail/kbb?

I've also bookmarked some normal Corollas and Camrys. I've seen a lot of them with their back windows busted out and I can only assume they were not covered and let the elements in - so I am stay far away from those, only ones with complete glass that have stayed sealed.

TL : DR - Do hail auction vehicles go for considerably less than their undamaged counterparts?

That car will still go for $4000+
Auto Auction Mall is just a broker service, the car is actually at CoPart - https://www.copart.com/lot/32487289/

If you are interested in one I would hook you up a lot cheaper than any broker would charge.
