Totally agree. Mosley admitted after the fight that once he felt Mannys power during the knock down, he wasnt going to engage anymore and just survive the fight. So in my opinion, the "fight" was over at that moment.

proves what? How many fighters in any combat sport have beaten somebody who supposedly were better fighters, and lost to lesser challengers?

Margarito- got caught cheating, fought 2 fights in mexico which he bearly won to boxers who arent big names. Then all of a sudden hes worthy of a pac fight )
its the business of boxing. And even though Margaritto got caught, he still fought the fight. He didnt dance around and avoid engaging. His style is to come forward at all times. He could have avoided getting TKo'd by Mosley but he kept coming forward.
As far as deciding when a fighter was worthy or not, check out the Judah/Mayweather fight. Mayweather was losing on the score cards until Zab got himself disqualified. He also lost on one of the judges score cards to Del La Hoya. My point is we cant always go by the medias reports who should win the fight. Anybody can get beat regardless of what the match up looks like on paper

True bob arum does all the matching but manny could have more of a say in this. Marquez did recieve arums offer letter but made a little tweaks to it and arum is suppose to send a revised offer back to marquez today. I doubt its the money he is unhappy with its said he was offerd 5 million plus some shares in ppv buys which is more then what he got against mayweather, I think it has to do more with the weight seeing as Marquez does not do good at 147. Freddie Roach was quoted saying manny will not come down past 147 to fight marquez which I can understand seeing as manny is the champ but roach needs to step aside because he did demand catch weights against cotto at the time he was the champ. Manny comes in under 147 most of the time any ways so I can't see why it has to be at 147 now, I guess to give marquez a rough time but even if it was at 140 I don't see marquez having much of a chance.
Well you seem to know your facts. Very cool. Looks like we disagree on just a couple of things. But I see it as Manny is at least flexible. As scareweather wants to call 100% of the shots and decide the entire stipulations. I just wish somebody else would step up and call out manny and say they want a shot. And I think manny is to nice a guy to demand more of a say so in who he fights.

If you guys don't know this will be their 3rd fight. The first time these 2 guys met marquez was knocked down 3 times in the first round but made a great come back to make the fight a draw and retain his feather weight title. 2nd time they met they had another close fight with marquez being wobbled 2 times and knocked down once, Pac was wobbled 2 times and countered all night. Pac ended up winning a controversial split decision and decided not to give marquez a 3rd immediate rematch. Now that marquez has slowed down a little bit pac agreed to a third fight 3 years later. Marquez came in at 144 in his last light weight title defense and tko katsidis so this should be more interesting then mosley, margarito, de la hoya vs pacman. Even tho marquez has slowed down a little he still has crazy accuracy and is a master counter fighter.
I agree with most of what you said, but I truly believe Manny doesnt decide who he fights. Bob Arum(sp) does most of that. But Margaritto is far from past his prime. He is only 33. Manny gave up a lot of size to fight him and destroyed him. Call Margaritto a cheater or what ever your opinion is of him. But the man never backs away. He always comes to fight. Same can be said when Manny fought a younger Cotto. Again giving up size and supposed power, while having to move up in weight to fight another bigger fighter.
Other than delahoya and possibly Marquez.... who has he fought past their prime recently? I dont know of anybody calling him out or asking top rank for a shot at him. And last I heard, Marquez isnt happy with the offer thats on the table and wants more money.

lol it will be the complete opiste of the margarito fight. Margarito was caught cheating and had not fought in a longass time, he faced a no name and barely won before fighting pac. Margarito was basically used for his name and was a walking punching bag in the ring. Marquez is still pretty sharp im sure pac may have a flashy knockdown or 2 on marquez and marquez will win a few rounds and then pac will dominate the final rounds. Im a marquez fan but he stands little chance against the now bigger and stronger pac. Allot of people seem to think this will be a good competitive fight because they say pac is made for marquez's counter style but marquez is now older I would hate to see him ko by pac and then retire. But if anybody disserves a shot against pac it should be marquez I wish him luck.

If they do fight it should be a really good fight. Marquez is still pretty good and can hold up. But i suspect it'll end up like the Margarito fight.
