Great weekend of football. I'm not much of a college football fan, but when my school gets a freshman Heisman winner and kicks an old-time Big XII rival in the taint in front of the world, I just have to smile. Very satisfying. The only thing that could have made it better would have been the Horns getting run off the field instead of the Sooners.

Manziel had an unbelievable season. One that could probably never be backed up in any meaningful way next year, and one that will not translate to the NFL. So what! He's a stud in college football and enjoying the hell out of himself. I would too! And the UT fans giving A&M fans grief about player behavior is hilarious!

Well said, I think this was our Aggie way of saying welcome to the new era of Aggie football, good bye Big 12 hello hunt for BCS births. I still wish we could have played UT, I am thinking that would have been a great game.

He ran all over my Sooners but i'm still a fan of his.
Of course he's not gonna run wild in the NFL like how he is in college,but he's gonna be a problem with those zone reads that NFL offenses are now sprinkling in.

You're right, and it's THE big difference between Mack and Stoops...who's ready in October? Even though Ash may pan out, Mack passed on Manziel and RG the 3rd.

I'll give Mack crap for RG3, but not everyone wanted Maziel for a QB. Chip Kelly up in Oregon was the only one willing to offer that but look what he has up there now. Aggy got lucky that the asst coach talked Sherman into taking Johnny. He's good. I heard that Johnny was the most exciting QB to come out of hs two years ago. The second is playing Safety for Texas right now, go figure.

Stoopes needs to step down or OU needs to accept being a loser in bowl games. He can never prepare his teams for big games, they roll over and quit too easily. A&M is embarassing OU, they suck!

Also, whoever brought up Kaepernick, he's 6'5/230. That's quite a difference from 6'1/200. Yes JM could bulk up, but he can't make himself grow 4 inches. Also, an extra 30 pounds makes a huge difference in your speed when you've been 200 pounds most of your football career. Most guys try to slim down in order to gain a little speed, not by bulking up.

It was me, and all I said was that he is very agile and moves like Kaepernick. I didn't say his physique was similar.

He's a far cry from Vick. Vick is sloppy. This guy has finesse, and has a great arm with great accuracy. He is pretty multi faceted.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised there is always someone trying to push a Heisman winner into the NFL HOF before they've even finished playing college ball. It's easy to compare the guy to others in the NCAA, but you know as well as I do that the NFL is a completely different game. I'm not ready to throw him in there with Steve Young and Randall Cunningham just yet.
