i saw some of the game with the reserves... he sucks.

Props for giving it a try and for giving some publicity to soccer.
He might stay to train in the reserves to stay fit.

It's a lot more common tear in soccer players because of the cuts they are constantly making at speed. I just don't think it's smart to risk a multi million dollar career over soccer.
Methinks he doesn't give a fuck.

Or the English Premier League for that matter.

One example is Wayne Rooney, he is a striker, always attacking, but he will run all the way back to defend a ball when he has to, then haul his ass back up front to set up or score. All this during the entire 90 minutes because he is too valuable to sub.

A typical midfielder will run about 7 miles in a 90 minute game, with most of that at a high speed. Other than halftime, there's no stoppage. The skill level doesn't drop much as the game progresses. The fitness level of MLS players is unequaled.

you know it sounds like he is having fun, but he is doing this because of the lockout situation. He is somewhat serious in this and not doing this as a name plug

I remember when Deion Sanders had to renegotiate a contract to play both baseball and football.
It wasnt an anology, I actually thought you were the one that said this...

My apologies though, it wasnt you obviously. I still say who cares. If the guy wants to explore other sports and his contract somehow allows it then more power to him. This is the perfect time to do it although Im still lost how a MLS team could take him seriously because as soon as the lockout ends he will probably leave the team and come back to football.
