Seems like Republicans are. Conservatism is based on small unobtrusive government. Shrink the government to the point it's primary (and original) purpose is to defend the country. I'm explaining the definition, not what some politicians who claim to be conservatives actually practice. As far as the difference between the two, there is no comparison. Liberals have decided what kind of light bulb you can have, whether you can smoke in your house, how many mpg your car should have, etc.. etc.. etc... If keeping government out of your life is your primary concern than the left is certainly not your best choice.

You should send this post to all our Republican Representatives in office, they seem to have forgotten. One party is big gov't and the other is bigger gov't. Which one is which depends on who is in power it seems.
