Bush Says He's Not A Golfer In Wartime

    By Dan Eggen
    Washington Post Staff Writer
    Wednesday, May 14, 2008

President Bush said yesterday that he gave up golfing in 2003 "in solidarity" with the families of soldiers who were dying in Iraq, concluding that it was "just not worth it anymore" to play the sport in a time of war.

"I don't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf," Bush said in a White House interview with the Politico. "I feel I owe it to the families to be as -- to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal."

In the short time I was in Iraq and looking at the destroyed Iraqi armor they had a sizeable force for sure. Chemical Ali's base Taji had hundreds of acres of mech and air assets that we had destroyed and stacked up.

Sadam called us on our threat and ended badly. Sad though that I am of the opinion that we should have pulverized him like we did, let him try to regain strength just to pulverize him again, repeat until desired effects are reached. Minimal ground operations and shock and awe for months at a time from the air would have saved us a lot of heartache.

Wait, you said he didn't have a military. So which is it?

WTF? If I go it will be epic. I am talking about standing on the walls with a baseball bat knocking mortars back at the Taliban; epic. Don't hate, most everyone in the military wants the same job I had/going back to.

Too much money? HUH? What would it take for you to spend 6 years over there? (Disclaimer: not on orders)

Send him a letter about how much you like him with a question about his policies and you will get a HAND written letter in return. Die for your country and this CIC will never even know your name much less write you a heartfelt apology. Look at all the work that Bush still does for the troops and wounded warriors. Do you think this A-hole will lift a finger when he gets evicted?

Most likely it was an autopen machine that did them. They can be set up with different signatures, and most are to try and fool people that don't know better. Some celebrities, athletes and most former presidents use them. It is no real suprise, but it is messed up. It isn't that hard to hand sign one for every soldier death.

At the time Iraq had the 3rd largest military in the world.

Our reason for deploying to Iraq was built on a lie. There were no WMD's, ever. Terrorist training camps were of such little significance that they were actually irrelevant and did not pose a threat to our nation.

Hussein had no military, no support and no ability to defend himself. He was never able to recoup from desert storm and that was evident the moment our boots hit the ground. He was a washed up old man found in a hole with a bucket to shit in.

The enemy we have been fighting since are Taliban soldiers that went to Iraq to fight us. Iraqis that oppose the occupation and have taken up arms against us. And it wasn't like our declaration of war and impending invasion was some damn secret. Shit was all over the news in every country before we even deployed.
