Well, if so, that decision was made to try and keep dear ole Ben and our pal Obama both in office. You see, the thinking they had was that announcing another round of quantative easing will stimulate the economy a bit, giving the president a bounce just in time for the election. Romney already announced that if he's elected, Ben is out on his ass too.

So yes, while the Federal Reserve is a separate entity, that decision was made not just by The Fed.

I hate to tell you but the "deficit" has been on a whip to a bulls ass incline for a long time now.

And Obamacare comes to mind when you say "spending your tax dollars."

The Romney campaign crams two howling falsehoods into a very few words:

It accuses President Obama of being personally responsible for actions by the Federal Reserve Board, which is independent.

It claims Obama is “spending your tax dollars” in the Fed’s latest move to buy mortgage-backed securities, when in fact the Fed is turning a big profit for the Treasury, reducing the deficit.
