My point was - if you go far enough back in history, every religion has it's fair share of skeletons in the closet. The difference with Islam is it's happening now, not 200 years ago. That makes a difference.

Nah, it was happening 200 years ago. Ask Spain. You are right though. We are living in a time when that religion is at its worst just like the Spanish Inquisition when it happened.

I do agree with the comment made 6 pages ago (before Bill's dumb ass found this thread) that the tolerant, moderate Muslims give their silent approval by not hunting down the extremists themselves. If the moderate Muslims are really so appalled at what the fringe is doing in the name of their collective religion, why is it just US out there tracking down the Taliban?
