  • Problem with residue that got onto my car

I have a question? I own a 2009 Corolla and my apartments sprinkler system had some type of chemical that when it got onto my car over night and dried it left this yellowish residue.

My car is white and its only on the passenger side. What would take this off ? If a wax what would be recommended from an autozone or any autoparts store?

Im no professional detailer but I have used a clay bar to remove impurities in the paint with great success, you could try that.

A mild compound and a buffer should pull the stains out.

The story I heard was that he knocked up a fat chick and had to marry her. <shrug>

He's doing good. Happily married, decent job, great kid and lots of projects.

                      Good for him.

To the OP, usually a good hand washing will get off the hard water stains. If your paint is in good condition then a good waxing will help as well.

I've seen some yellowing of the clear from an unknown chemical that actually went all of the way down to the basecoat. I had to paint the side. I would try a little compound on a rag and rub one spot to see if it will come off. If not you can have someone color sand an area and buff. If that does not do it you will have to repaint.

Just hit it with some meguiars 105 cutting compound and polish out with some 205, should only take you 30 minutes.
