I remember seeing that little truck up on the roof of that Off-Road shop...pertty cool. Would be real fun with a 600cc sportbike motor in it!
I can assure you it was plenty with the little 200, it was 5 speed with a clutch, you can see the hand shift setup in one of the pics. Between the crappy band brake, lack of suspension, and cheap steering it'd be way dangerous with anything else. If I loaded it hard in sand or tried to lay power hard, it's flex the jack shaft set up and pop the chain. It was fun toy, but would need a lot of beefing up and redesign to add more power and be reliable and fun. Either way it was cool toying with it for a while.
This was a project between a buddy and I, he used to play in this as a kid. He went to visit family for Christmas and asked his Uncle what happened to it. His uncle told him the motor (5hp briggs) had a problem and they just parked it. Long story short his unc told him to get it out of his garage. Brought it home and the motor had stuck a valve and was pretty jacked.
We had an old Kawa 200cc 3 Wheeler so I yanked the motor from both and built and engine plate and jackshaft set up to put the kawa in bigfoot. We played with it for about a year, but with no suspension it wasn't too comfortable on anything rough. Took it to ardmore for a truck race hoping they'd let us take a pic with the real thing. It always got attention when we took it out.
Sold it to the offroad place in Denton off 35 near loop 288 several years ago. Kinda miss it from time to time, but the money went on to other projects.
