yup! when I handed over $25k for my 06, I REALLY wanted it! LOL You tend to shop harder when paying cash... I sold the truck 2yrs later for $27.5k

That is because you don't fully understand just how much you spend until you save it up, sacrificing and then hold it and see it for what it actually is.

That is true. When my wife saved up $2k to buy diamond hoop earrings, she decided that it wasn't worth it. And car shopping, she said, "I just can't hand over a check for $40k for a car now." I love her.

Sadly, we're in the minority on that, bro. Debt is pretty ugly and overwhelming for many, but all brought on themselves (for the most part).

I do think there is some age related. I loathe any type of debt and have used my downsizing as a reason to vacate any debt. Have a small car note but I'm working to get that squared away. I want nothing more than to move total obligation free. We'll see.
I knew you were downsizing, but I figured that you fingered on purpose.

    Very cool!
The last time I was on Andros (only thing I paid for was drinks, btw ), I was snorkeling and a pod of 8 Atlantic spotted dolphins came up to me and swam with me for about 10 minutes. It was amazing.

How dare you ever go into debt, don't you know that any self-respecting american doesn't ever use a credit card?
