I don't know about many on here, but I've been in over 20 high speed pursuits and I've never gained an advantage by leaving the roadway. Instantaneous surface changes at speed can lead to an end to a chase, or race depending on the situation. The best way to carry speed through a corner is to brake early, and turn into the apex making the corner as straight as possible. When you turn, you induce braking and can reduce your need to brake by using the pedal and you can get on the gas earlier.

I have an 17-3 record in pursuits, and two of those were called off. That says alot when you are chasing a vehicle with a better power to weight ratio than a under powered 4 door cruiser.

I chased this guy for about 12 minutes before I called off this pursuit, but still ended up getting him thanks to a little old lady....

Police say a crash is a heavy price to pay for trying to avoid getting pulled over on a traffic violation.

It should also be noted that in a pursuit, you have many more variables and responsiblities than just running into the grass, or a stack of tires.
OK, head out to the ring with your ZR1 and lets see what time you can pull.

Oh, I'm 3-3 running from cops in 3 different cars: Honda Prelude, Honda S2000, and '01 Corvette. Note: I am just making the previous sentence up to look cool on the internet.

I just can't friggin' believe you are questioning Jim Mero's lines on the Ring. The dude could smoke your ass in a V6 Camaro around the Ring with you driving a ZR1.
