    Keep up the good work.

Thanks for your input. I went back and reread my posts, and see that I didn't post what happened to the parts truck. After stripping it of its grill, tailgate, and all aluminum trim, I posted it for sale on Craigslist. Less than 8 hours after listing it, a guy agreed to buy it at the same price I had bought it for originally. So basically, I got my much needed trim, tailgate and grill for free. He was also a Ford enthusiast, and when we dropped the truck off at his shop, he had 5 or 6 restored f100's, a couple of real nice fairlanes, and a ton of "parts trucks" and projects sitting out behind his shop. So, it went to somebody that will probably actually do something with the truck. And he was also a good contact/relationship to have during this build. He also had a few interior parts that I got from him.

Finally started to lay down some paint. I hope to have it completely painted by this time next week, and then I'll start the color sand/buff process. Anyways, here's a few pics. I will have More updated pics in the next week or so.

Yep, thats the one. Thats the first thing that i thought of when I saw the show. that it was a nice build, but damn...thats the same color I'm painting my truck. But if anything, I hope it continues to build the popularity of the 67-72 Ford trucks. The 67-72 Chevy truck has pretty much dominated that era, from a collector/custom builder point of view. Hopefully, more and more people will start to see the beauty of these trucks like I do.

and honestly that truck was the cleanest looking build i think they've done so far
It was real clean and well done, but it seemed somewhat questionable that it brought $50,000+ at auction. Maybe its all smoke and mirrors, for the TV show. I feel like I'm pretty much building the same truck, (minus the cv front clip, and drivetrain) and would be happy to sell it for a 1/4 of that when finished.

I figured that was coming. I'm sure you were just busting my balls.... But, Ive been pretty set on this paint scheme for almost a year now. Way before that truck was in existance.

    Turquoise/white
    OliveGreen/white
    Champagne/white
    Flat Olive green

Was hoping for alot more progress at this point in the project, but work, family, and more recently the 115 degree heat has put a damper on things. As far as the truck itself, I am finally finished with most of the sanding by hand. After looking it over real good I didn't feel as if my personal experience with paint/body was good enough to get it perfectly straight. I've employed the help of a long time friend to assist with the sealing/priming/blocking to make sure its perfectly straight. Sunday, I got it over to his shop and here's where she sits right now. I also got the paint mixed up. I bought a gallon of a dark/pale green, and have been adding several cups of white and stirring by hand, to get my desired color. I think I have finally got it exactly how I want it. Not sure what to call it, but its pretty close to what Ford use to call Boxwood Green. Either way, for now I'm happy with it.

Yea, Manuel Garcia does an excellent job of keeping it cut, but doesn't do much more in the way of fertilizer/weed control.
