The incidence of a "tax" is borne by the party with the most inelastic frontier/curve.

I wish you were right. Then we would have someone to blame for all the schools closing here in Dallas and for the 30+ kids per classroom, for the teachers who are forced to cut their lunch brakes to.help with crowd controlled or having to work past their contracted time off the clock. If anything that union is worthless

some people have higher overhead than others. not saying it's right or wrong, but I know plenty of people who have taken 6 months or more to find a livable job in this economy with a true unemployment rate over 30%

I've been on unemployment before, and it definitely bridged the gap until I found the right gig, and I'm thankful I didn't have to take a shit job just to keep the lights on because it's hard to land a good gig when you're stocking shelves at Home Depot, and now life is good

Walmart said F/U to this Country yrs ago, Obama did it when he entered the White House!
I'm pretty sure the shift towards profit at all costs followed the death of Sam Walton.

I think most of us remember that. Food companies, nutrition companies and corporations like Walmart care about profit, nothing more. They pay lip service to long term sustainability and community development but the only thin that really matters at the end of the day is making money.
