One other thing that was broken in the transmission area was the clutch fork. Gonna have to go by dallas mustang tomorrow and get one. At least I will be able to drive it without the fear of the TOB blowing up.
Ahh cool.. Must be the angle.

Nah man, looks better than the bare metal. That paint is beyond hope. Once I am done with the clutch, the tires, and inspection, I am on to the paint. Just debating on taking it to someone, or trying my hand again.

Waiting around for new tires to arrive from tirerack, so on an impulse I decided to pull my transmission for a clutch job. 163K miles, original clutch. The TOB was about to explode, it was noisy, but I didn't think it was that bad. Barely spins and rattles like all hell when it does. Same goes for the pilot bearing. Clutch disc was worn almost to the rivets. Oh and fuck ford for torquing those bellhosing bolts so much.

Got them mounted today. Previous mechanic left me a present by forcing two lug nuts onto the right rear wheel studs and I had to shear them off. Really liking the 275/40/17 up front.

Debating on trying my hand at paint work again. Every time, I improve a little bit more. Since this is white, it's a lot more forgiving than say that bright atlantic blue that I used last time.
