He has several different sounds that he does on a regular basis.
The older sound you're reffering to, is still around. There is 1-3 songs like that, on every HANK3 album he puts out. The rest, is similar to this, which i love.

He plays with a band called ASSJACK, that is pretty hard metal. I believe he is the bassist. He is also the drummer in "Arson Anthem"

Don't like this guys voice at all, but am a big fan of all of Hank III's work, including AssJack. Saw him in concert last year in Fort Worth and it was one of the better shows I've ever been to...and I've been to a few.

I used to get into hardcore/death metal back in college though, so even his harder stuff isn't all THAT hard...to me.
