I read awhile back that the 11/12's had a lot of heat sink under the hood, hence the bigger grill and extractors for 13/14. When was the last time Ford did a big refresh on the Mustang after just 3 years?

The front on the 13s took some getting used to for me because I think the 10-12s looked AWESOME. However, knowing they did some of it to improve cooling issues, and then finding out that the extractors are actually functional made me appreciate it more. I also like that the rocker panels are body color instead of black. Sort of reminds me of how the early aero 5.0 foxes had black moulding, then went to body color in 91ish. Ford has been doing a lot of small nuanced things with these cars that really have made Mustangs interesting to me again. I liked the 05s when they came out, but wasn't very excited about them like I was the new Edges. I'm obviously biased, but I fucking LOVE my 13. I wanted a new 5.0 so bad when I was in high school; nice to be able to mark that off the bucket list.

I still think the 2010-2012 are the best looking stangs on the road. I don't like the hood on the 2013, and the 2015 has a lot to live up to. I hope it looks better than that rendering.

Agreed about the 10-12s and the 15s having a lot lot to live up to. I think the hood is ok on the 13-14s. But I'm not a fan of the tinted tails- for any vehicle.

As mentioned, those are all renders. But I kinda like the blue one.

Don't know if those pics are real, but I do know that I like it. And I'm not totally enamored with anything 2010+. (Bad ass 5.0 notwithstanding)

I'm waiting for ACTUAL Ford photos, not renderings... I just hope it happens before the lease on my truck is up so I can make an informed decision.
