Apples and oranges IMO. The Z06 was likely stock or close to it, versus a highly modified motor and car. I'm sure that there are C5 and C6 vettes that would run dead nuts with that skyline on the freeway. Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?
For $100k I'd rather have a new bolt-on Z06 with low miles and a warrantee as a DD, or a more modified C6 as a toy. The skyline is ugly IMO, and old.
seeing that the Z06 got the jump, he got out about a car to 2 car lengths, but as they got to 90-100 that Skyline sucked him up like he was standing still and put about 2-3 lengths on him till they shut it down- it was pulling hard like a motherfucker.

all i have to say is that a stock GTR-34 or 33 or 32 aint shit ,yes they are nice, and yes they can be turned into monsters no doubt, but theres no such thing as a skyline an illegal car for the US anymore , i've seen plenty at car meetings , specially GTR-34's, just my .02 cents.
Around that area I used to see a few skylines especial a blue gtr34 vspec. I saw a r32 a few years ago at Dallas Genntlemans that was driven by some Arab. he gave me his card, said they imported them and converted them. lost the card though. before I die I want to roll in a r34.
Hate to say it, but I'd still take the Z. How bad did the Z get taken by? Pretty impressive little car (the skyline).
BTW, I couldnt imagine rowing gears with my left.

It feels weird at first, but the bigger issue is relearning how to drive on the other side. Its hard to judge where the lane deviders are, inconvenient for drive through anything.
