No such thing as unbearably loud!!!
I had ALL loudmouths on my 01, those were loud, but still ok.

I had the Loudmouths and an offroad prochamber on my 04. I loved the sound but wished I could 'mute' it from time to time.

I installed the straight-through Roush cans, with black tips, a couple weekends ago, and couldn't be happier. Everything else is stock, I've heard that it get's unbearably loud with an off-road H/X.
