Atrix just got moved back from March 6th release to Feb 22. Alot of people are getting notifications that their phones will ship out on the 22nd, but I havent yet. Im an employee so Ill probably get thrown to the back of the line, lol.

OK cool - I've still got my unlimited data. I'm just contemplating the pre-order.

One quick question - Is ATT charging additional $$ for 4g data like sprint does or not?

They used to have and "iphone" data plan, a blackberry data plan, and all the other phones data plan. My thought was that ATT would use it as an excuse to kill unlimited any chance they get. Looking on their site now only shows Blackberry data, smartphone data, and non-smartphone data - so they must have changed it.

I might root it so I can get some tethering apps to bypass ATT's stuff but a custom ROM may be tough considering this phone has android and a custom Linux ROM on it also. I have never messed with Motorola but I hear from the Dev's that they are locked up pretty tight.

My wife works in wireless and she said they stopped doing this. They instructed mgmt to stop approving it shortly after the stories started coming out.

If you have unlimited now then you will have it when you switch. Only way you will loose it is if you get the atrix/laptop bundle and that is because that bundle requires a 4gb data plan with tethering.

I'm looking at the Atrix too. The only thing is going to be the data plan shit with ATT. I have a iphone with unlimited data but I'm thinking with switching phones switches the type of data plan and will stick me a limited plan.

I'm hoping they bring the unlimited back since the competition offers it but we'll see.
