If you're not a modder or are OK w/them telling you what you can or cannot do with the device YOU pay for, cool. I can't stand that ish though.
Stuff like that is why the Magnuson Moss warranty act was formed.

Btw, I have a white GS3 for sale. Only thing wrong with it is that it locks up every once in a while when you rotate it. I turned of the rotation and it never messed up after that.

Yeah. Good enough for me. I worry less than I used to about getting it wet. Besides all that, it's the perfect size, has a good battery, super fast, and very customizable. What's not to like?

Use that samsung underwater and it will void warranty.
Check out the torture test videos online. The S5 will shoot video up to 4 feet under water and survived being submerged for over 30 minutes. Meaning that for normal people it's pretty damn waterproof.

Man, tell your "computer geek" coworker I said to stfu. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

I'm also considering getting an S5 or an HTC One. I was talking to a computer geek in my office about it and he said there was a problem with people hacking into the Android phones. He said he had an S3 or 4 and that it got hacked several times. I asked him WTF that meant and he said he looked at his phone one day and various apps were being opened and he saw the hacker going through, and presumably reading, his email. He said he shut it off, waited and powered it up again and it was fine, but that if he hadn't turned it off that the hacker could have stolen any info he had on his phone. He keeps some of his clients' confidential info & docs on his phone sometimes so that was a huge issue to him so he went back to an iPhone. I don't keep anything remotely confidential on my phone, but I'm curious about this whole hacking issue because I didn't even know that was possible.
Have any of y'all had that happen or know anything about the topic?
