One thing to note is that either way you go you'll be buying new chargers...etc...etc In the droid world they are cheap/effective. In the iPhone world the cheap ones can really suck and the good ones are a minimum of 15 dollars each.

I know 15 does not sound bad - but it adds up when you try to have one in each and every little place. Those are for 6 footers on amazon though. The apple branded ones seem to be about 30 each.

My battery lasts all day, unless I end up with my bluetooth earpiece and GPS running all day. On the factory wall charger it charges in about an hour from a complete dead battery.

You can add a wireless charger for cheap. It doesn't go as fast but can help out if you're just going to be in and out.

Very seldom does the stylus come in handy, but I like it for jotting notes when I forget a paper copy of my workorders.

Do you have any specific usage questions?
Anything that I would ask would come from a place of ignorance, I've never dicked with a Samsung. Obviously I want better reception than my iphone, and increased battery would be a step up as well. Even new, mine was less than stellar.

I'm generally pretty damn close to a charger, so that is of little concern.

    started a topic Samsung Note v. Samsung S5 v. iPhone 5s (or 6)?

    Samsung Note v. Samsung S5 v. iPhone 5s (or 6)?

Time to retire my iPhone 4. I dig apples iOS, and considering I've had 3 years of relatively trouble free existence, I can't complain too bad.

However, I read a ton of docs, do a fair amount of editing on the fly, and need access to various not-so-apple websites. The memory size of the iPhone is also frustrating. I blew through 16g in short order, I'm sure i'll blast through 32 or 64 as well, but the expandable option is nice.

I do enjoy iMessage, but don't have a Mac so I don't get full usage.

Anyway, anyone have experience across the platforms? Any major detractors to any of them?
Working...
