Doesn't this only work if the PC is upstream of the router? or does the firewall get replicated to the router even if the pc is downstream?

You can get a DD-WRT variant here: http://asuswrt.lostrealm.ca. I have an N66U and the Merlin Firmware and it's working great.

Are you using PlexPy to log IPs from users?

Will see if adding to norton firewall works or not.

Will mess with the port fwd. not at home now. Not sure if i put IP in the “local” column or source column.

My PS4 and Plex, IP’s are under Local column

If you can't figure out the FW aspect - just port forward their IPs to the wrong port.

I tried it in NORTON since that is what I use for FIREWALL. Looked up how to block and APPLIED it.

Let's see if that works. Would be nice if router had an easy way of doing it, or it's right there in front of me but in different language..ha

If you are using Windows and have not installed a "complete" security suite for the operating system, you are likely using Windows Firewall to protect the opera

if I can block their IP somewhere else, by all means show me how

I just thought to do that, you would do at the router since that is where everything comes in.

I am a high ranking NOOB at this stuff haha

Ya, they sure do - up to you if it's worth it or not. To me it's sensible to use DD-WRT or one of the variants.

Why not just do it at the firewall in Win?
