Doesn't this only work if the PC is upstream of the router? or does the firewall get replicated to the router even if the pc is downstream?

You can get a DD-WRT variant here: http://asuswrt.lostrealm.ca. I have an N66U and the Merlin Firmware and it's working great.

Will mess with the port fwd. not at home now. Not sure if i put IP in the “local” column or source column.
My PS4 and Plex, IP’s are under Local column

I tried it in NORTON since that is what I use for FIREWALL. Looked up how to block and APPLIED it.
Let's see if that works. Would be nice if router had an easy way of doing it, or it's right there in front of me but in different language..ha

if I can block their IP somewhere else, by all means show me how
I just thought to do that, you would do at the router since that is where everything comes in.
I am a high ranking NOOB at this stuff haha

Ya, they sure do - up to you if it's worth it or not. To me it's sensible to use DD-WRT or one of the variants.Originally posted by Rafa View Postdidn't even know they had dd-wrt for my router
I need to find good link to download and install.
will figure that out once I find out how to block that IP from those pesky kids
haha
