Just watched this tonight. Ehhh..im halfway on it. Acting was pretty bad, but the scenes were pretty badass. I was really disappointed on the setup at the end then the category 5 was the same size. Was expecting this overpowering ginormous beat, but was about the same as the rest...lame

He was good in Green Street Hooligans

I know right? I only go to the movies with my nephews when it's a really good movies and I'll go all out and spend the extra money for the IMAX 3D version of it. Other times I'll catch a matinee at a regular screen. For the times I spend extra on the IMAX I tend to go on opening weekend or the following weekend and it's usually hard to get a ticket so I'll but it online. Surcharges suck but I don't know if there is a way around that or not. Any ideas?Originally posted by jefehbk View Post$6 extra bucks just for the convenience of buying online??? That is a ripoff...what extra cost(s) does a movie theater incur having someone buy a ticket online vs. paying to have someone sit inside a ticket booth?

I saw it at Northpark Sunday afternoon. 2 adults and 1 child, the price of the tickets were all the same plus an extra $6 surcharge for buying the tickets online. Spent another $20 at the concession stand. Shits getting outrageous for going to see a movie.

Thoroughly entertaining movie. Delivered on exactly what was promised and I thought the humor in it worked well. I hope this performs well enough at the box office to warrant a sequel. I know it's not the blockbuster they were hoping for.

My wife perked up today when I mentioned who the lead was. I liked it a lot with one exception. I did not like the theory on how they were getting to earth.

I saw it Sunday night also, in Colleyville, I think I paid $32 for two tickets. But it was a really good movie, I liked the action sequences where you could actually tell what was going on, I was afraid the action would be something like transformers where it's just a blur you're trying to make out.

I would recommend it on that alone. I thought the story could have been better but it was action packed and I was never bored.
On a side note. I paid $52 for two adults and one child to see the second showing Sunday afternoon in IMAX 3D. This included a $6 surcharge for buying it online. Don't know if I would have saved any money going to the first showing but that's ridiculous. I would have been pissed if I paid that much to see a movie and not enjoyed it. I don't normally see movies in IMAX 3D unless it's something I'm really looking forward to. I won't normally see a movie in 3D for that same reason. I saw Man of Steel in 3D because I didn't want to wait another hour or so for the next showing and I would have been happier seeing it on a regular screen. But I thought this movie was worth it so I won't bitch to much about it.

Wife and I saw it on IMAX 3d and we enjoyed the heck out of it.
She went in thinking it was going to be horrible.

Took me a while to realize that was Jax from SOA as the main character

I was waiting for Godzilla to pop out.
