If you really want to uild ground up you won't do it with a ruger receiver the only way to get one is either in a complete gun or used ruger won't sell one stripped new

No dakspud sells a 10/22 receiver that is a bare stripped receiver you could build as either a rifle or a pistol then it's just coming up with bolt, trigger guard, ect...

i dont know for sure but a quick search makes it seem like most 10/22 bare receivers are aftermarket and cost as much as a 10/22 rifle..

my guess is they might be listed as rifle so i might get into SBR land.

I was kinda wanting to build one and not to have 95% of a new gun left on the bench . That's the idea Im after it would just make more sense not to buy a complete pistol to ditch most of it .
