Armed guards at courts.
Armed guards at airports.

Do we put armed guards at private run day cares? Who pays for this and where does it stop?
When I was growing up in the 70's there were no guards at these places and we were just fine. We have drugged our kids, exposed our people to media violence, regulated religion, eliminated personal responsibility and call it progress?
WTF?
I know gun control is not the answer.
Think of this. How many mass shootings were there in the 1800's when everyone was armed?

I don't think either one of us can make the claim that it doesn't, since we don't know. The point is many things can play a part, not guns. There exists in this country a callous, corrupt and corrupting shadow industry that sells, and sows, violence against its own people.
Through vicious, violent video games with names like Bulletstorm, Grand Theft Auto, Mortal Kombat and Splatterhouse. And here's one: it's called Kindergarten Killers. It's been online for 10 years. How come my research department could find it and all of yours either couldn't or didn't want anyone to know you had found it?
Then there's the blood-soaked slasher films like "American Psycho" and "Natural Born Killers" that are aired like propaganda loops on "Splatterdays" and every day, and a thousand music videos that portray life as a joke and murder as a way of life. And then they have the nerve to call it "entertainment."
But is that what it really is? Isn't fantasizing about killing people as a way to get your kicks really the filthiest form of pornography?

But there is no reason to not have armed security at every school in the nation.

Hah, quite the response time on removing the protestor. If it takes the security guys 30 seconds to respond to and remove a protestor interrupting a press conference, I want him to be in charge of the training program!
I finally joined the NRA this morning. If anyone wants to be a life member for $300, several people on the M4Carbine forum are offering sponsorships.

HOWEVER, only if the parents are not talking w/ the children about the violence in the games. e.g. I play Battlefield and COD BO w/ my Son (7yo). I have the violence/blood turned down and the language set to Spanish, Russian, etc. I do not let him brag about shooting/killing another person and I remind him this is all "make believe" and am VERY proactive about our home's "control laws". Including, how to handle a gun, what to do if he sees a gun just laying around, etc etc.
