It is the most dangerous gun on earth (to the person wielding it of course).

I'm just saying...if you buy a kimber..go ahead and buy an old one. I have a 2013 and from my experience and what I have read their quality control is horrible and so is their customer service as of now. I wished I would have bought the colt instead...The colt was cheaper lol..

The rep actually said to me that its highly unlikely they will find a 1-2% flaw and in normal testing. They run only a few shots through. You're lucky if they run a full mag through your gun. They need to run 80-100 through mine.

So all I can do is send all this paperwork in with it and hope they ether fix or replace it.

If you're telling the truth, sounds like a widow maker maker to me.

No lol..The officer in charge said they were logging it as an AD and I'd have the gun back by Wednesday. The gun came back from Mccleand Gun Shop for a "professional dissemble and clean+ feed ramp polishing." Haven't fired the gun since. Called Kimber twice. First time they said give it 500 rounds and "loosen it up." Then after 500 rounds of it doing the same thing over and over I called again and they said give it 1000 rounds lmao.

What $1300 gun needs 1000 rounds to break in? They said check my ammo. Does it with all types. Will not feed hollowpoints or anything under 230 grain ball for that matter.

Finger was not on the trigger, I do have a bad habit of laying it on the side though. Possible I squeezed too hard with my index and thumb because it went off as I dropped the mag with one hand.

Keep your booger hook off the trigger until you are ready to shoot... That's a cardinal rule in SAFE firearms handling...

and yes KBScobravert, would be an ND not and AD...

Yup. I did the same thing with my shotgun when I was 17. Had a stuck shell, I was sliding the pump to try and clear the shell, somehow I released the button, chambered the stuck shell and tapped the trigger at the same time. Boom thru the ceiling. I thought my dad was gonna kill me. Lesson learned, always be aware of the trigger.

Sweet. I got one high tier, one mid tier, and three shit tier. Lol. That being said I would go with the beretta. I love my 96d and my cousin has the storm in .40. Its been flawless, as is expected with beretta.

I took it as, he dropped the mag out of the gun, and was going to rack the slide to clear the gun to take down and clean, but upon ejecting the mag, it fired...

I want to know where your trigger finger was during the ejecting of the mag?

What am I not understanding here? You dropped the mag onto the floor and it went bang? You dropped the slide onto a full mag and it went bang onto the floor? WTH??
