Yea, it went off in my apt as I was about to start cleaning it. Dropped the mag and bang into the floor. Downstairs neighbors hate me now. Luckily we have concrete partitions so is only put a dent in the concrete.

Love the 19. Also love the S&W M&P 9mm. Own both, and love both, but the glock is easier to conceal.

I've had more problems with my $1200 Kimber than any gun I've owned....Pleasing to the eye and accurate that's about it. Jams about 2%-3% of the time. I'm sending it back to Kimber to get checked now that's it's been locked up in the evidence room for a AD that went down in my apt last week.

I'd say its placed appropriately. In my case.

heh, I was surprised to see Kimber there too.

This is going to turn into a Glock vs all pissing match, these threads always do. Personally I have a Gen 3 G19 and will never get rid of it. Some hate it, but I've not seen any of the issues they complain about - but each has their own experiences/opinions.

I'd also be game for a Springfield XD, and I think it was S&W that made a nice polymer gun too. I'm not too picky though, so take that for what it is worth. Besides my low end Beretta O/U and an old colt revolver, all my guns are plain vanilla, boring to look at guns.

I wouldn't recommend the Beretta PX4 Storm. Buddy of mine and I went to some training and that thing ran like crap on the 2nd day of shooting. Further, since the slide was so short and the spring so robust, it made chamber checking for my friend tough.

The M19 is going for $519 at Cabelas.

    There is no M19 ... It's just a Glock 19 or G19

While I don't own Glocks, i've shot friends G19, G23, and G26. They are solid pistols. You can't go wrong with a G19. I just tend to prefer all metal guns over polymer.

At my job we get awards that we csn redeem for gift cards, travel, etc. I always get Cabelas or Bass Pro and is how I get most of my firearms related items...
