They are kind of a funky bullpup design that allows for extra barrel length. You put the rounds in the magazine backwards and a toggle pulls them out and flips them up:

Interesting little pistol. Can't say I've heard of Boberg. What makes it the most powerful 9mm pocket pistol?

Maybe it holds more rounds?
Maybe it does something to the 9mm round while it is chambered to make it more powerful? <---sarcasm may be in use on this last one

Maybe it is the $1100 price tag that makes it more powerful?
Not sure, but I can tell you thus far, the PF9 seems pretty powerful, 1/3 the cost and Trayvon Martin approved.

Seriously though, I am a bit curious myself why this little pistol received the title of "most powerful 9mm CCW". In my honest opinion, I feel that the G29 would be a more powerful CCW due to the 10mm round; at least this is the thought process that drove me to want one.


Sorry to derail the thread, though I also have never heard of the Boberg XR9 and became curious. I received NO firearms related gifts this year as I have a kid...Christmas is all about him
