Full size M&P 9 has an Apex FSS trigger kit. As far as prosecution goes. If I had to shoot someone it's because I HAD TO shoot someone. If I make it to court that means I'm alive, and I would assume a made the only choice and a trigger job wouldn't sway the jury's opinion.
Edit. Sights will come soon. I'm gonna have the gun stippled by Sweaty Muddy Bloody, and maybe slide serrations done by Atei. Maybe I'll even get it cerakoted.
Sights/stipple for sure. Jury is still out on the rest.

I put the new post-recall PRP kit in my XDs. It helped quite a bit but it is still a decent amount heavier than it was with the PRP kit before the recall. The recall fix involves a shitty little strut connected to the grip safety that pushes up on the bottom of the sear. It made it a bitch to put the gun back together right before I found a vid on youtube about it.
They say they designed the spring kit for the XDs keeping in mind that it's a carry gun so it's not quite as light as some of the other kits.
I had shot about 500 rounds through mine before with the PRP kit with no issues. I've only got to shoot 100 rounds after the recall but so far no light primer strikes. I will probably go put some more through it tomorrow before I decide it's good to go for carry again.

my glock 30 has an extended slide stop, truglo TFO sights, a ghost ranger 4.5 lb. connector, and a heavier trigger spring.

My EDC glock 27 has a bunch done to it. (Night sights, polished trigger group and barrel, 3lb trigger, ditched the target trigger) I've put 1000+ rounds through it and never had a hiccup short of the +2 extensions not working on the last round. (Never carry those so whatever.)
And everything I've read from Texas Law shield says prosecutors going for a modded gun is over blown. Doesn't mean I will be using say a AR-15 with a Beta Mag and George Zimmerman stickers on it for home defense, but some mods to tiny carry handgun are nothing to worry about IMO. Just my .02

I guess I should chime in on a personal note. My last four 1911's have had nothing modified other than a switch to Wilson 47D 8 round magazines. Everything else is stock with the exception of the current Springfield Amory Operator having some aftermarket grips.

My LCP has the Hoque grip, stainless guide rod and spring upgrade.
My S&W airweight .38 has a Apex trigger.
Khar CW9 and XD-SC9 are stock.

Only mod I'm thinking about is a 4" Lone Wolf barrel and maybe switch to 357 sig.

Second, if you shoot someone with a customized gun, the prosecutor will make it looke like you shot Trayvon with an evil souped up murderizer.
If you want stock, compact, and reliable, then get a damn wheel gun.

The trigger pull is double what it used to be and for some reason (probably because of trigger) I can't hit shit with it at the range. It used to be my favorite gun before and I was deadly accurate, just point and shoot and I wouldn't miss. PRP makes a trigger/grip safety spring kit to lighten it up some. I'm debating whether or not I should do it and if it will remain reliable and if I can trust it for my EDC. Reviews of the spring kit seem fine except for the few that are having light strikes (ftf) on the primer because of the striker spring being a little light and an issue only on reloads which I don't shoot . Or do I just get rid of the gun and buy something else. FYI trigger pull went from 4 . 5lbs pre to 8 lbs post recall
