Colt just released XSE Lightweight Commanders in 9mm. Slim grips and a tuckable holster would make it invisible.

Love my shield but, in the winter I carry my full size G22. IWB Tucked in. No problems at all.

Yes- it is very close in size to the m&p 9. Normal slide width.

I carry three different guns in different scenarios.

Love the Shield 9mm in jeans or slacks and a long shirt tucked in with an IWB holster.

I carry the Glock G42 for pocket carry in a hoodie, or jeans, when I don't want to wear an IWB holster.

I carry an LCP with shorts and a t shirt carry with just the belt clip on it, since it sits extremely low in the waste band with just the belt clip.

"My buddy brought a 9mm shield and the xds is a much better gun. The trigger and reset are leaps better than the m&p and the xds shot flater and with less noticable recoil. My friends shooting instantly improved after switching guns. It also shoots out at distance a bit better and the xds lets you get three fingers on the grip with the flush mag, where the m&p left me dangling."

Xds really is the perfect carry gun. 8 rounds, it is thin but with the 4" barrel it shoots comparable to any compact gun, it has a more than acceptable trigger (way above lc9 and shield). I can carry it anywhere from the 2:30-4 and it conceals with any shirt which allows me to dress how I want. Hell, I was rolling around in bed with a chick last night and she didn't even notice I had it until I took it off.

I daily a Shield 40 and compared it side by side with the XDs .45 and chose the Shield because of the higher round number it can hold. Id like to shoot an XDs to see what the recoil is like but I honestly would probably still carry the Shield.

I made a post comparing the two- I'll find it for you. I'd be happy to meet you at a local range, I have a new 4" xds.

I pocket carry a P938 w/ a blackhawk size 2 holster that was made for (I think) a lcr. But I still want an xds at some point.

I like the Shield a little better. It's a little smaller overall. A P938 is going to be even smaller and easier to hide.
