My handbook is circa 2008 so I guess it might not be in the new ones. I think you'll have to go digging around on some TX .gov sites if you want proof. But as other members have said, its been that way for a good while now

I just looked again and didnt see anything that said it was ok to carry on school property. Its ok to drive park and store a firearm in a personal vehicle on school property. So what am I missing

Originally posted by Gasser64 View PostYes, just not inside the building. They made them redefine the word "premises" and its now within the walls of the building itself. The way it was, people were technically breaking the law by driving by a school while carrying. So can you take it in the parking lot and have it in your vehicle? Yes. Can you take it inside? No.

If any false opinion, embraced from appearances, has been found to prevail; as soon as farther experience and sounder reasoning have given us juster notions of human affairs, we retract our first sentiment, and adjust anew the boundaries of moral good and evil."
You and I could probably go round-n-round for awhile, but I believe we're on the same team as far as OP is concerned.
