So far it is ok. I haven't shot it yet though. I couldn't pass on the deal I got on it. I think it was the cheapest 1911 I have bought ever.

Nothing wrong with that. I went even cheaper with one of those Turkish made Tisas GI models. The thing is tight all the way around. I took it down and looked it over and the quality is better than I expected. I've only run a few magazines through it, but for the money it seems like it will be a good shooter.

Sounds like it might be worth a look if I don't pick up a Sig Tac Ops 1911, local store that opened recently had them for $890.00

I paid much less than $800 for mine, look for deals.

How's the fit and finish look?

Pretty reasonable foe a sub $800 1911. There is a bit of slop in the frame to slide fitment, but I like it that way. The trigger itself sounds loose, I haven't torn it down far enough to see why it sounds like a bunch of loose change yet, I planned on changing that anyhow though.

How do you like the Ruger 1911? I've wanted to look at one for a while but haven't found one local to me.
