So what is the proper etiquette about bottles when leaving a party? I usually bring a bottle of Soco 100 and will leave it if there is any left. Now if I bring a nice bottle of tequila, talking about something that's $50+ a bottle, it's coming home with me. Beers, if I bring a case of Bud Light or some other crap then yeah I leave it but if it's a sixer of Dogfish Head or some Dead Guy ale then I'm on the fence, usually I'll take them with me as well.

Obviously if you didn't bring it then you don't take it home, that's stealing. Obviously talking about a home party, not at a bar.
