In all honesty, if it was a daily driver, I would want a warranty on it. If it was a car to have fun in, the C5 obviously. Anybody that says they would pick the 12-13 year old car with no warranty is either full of shit, or just flat out dumb.

Good god are we really comparing a VW to an LS1 Corvette? Really now?

I had to google the VW to even see what the hell it was lol. After seeing it I would take a C5, you should be able to get a 99 dirt cheap even with low miles.

C5's don't rattle, it isn't a damn third gen camaro for christ sake. I daily drove my C5 for several years, and it got 32mpg on the freeway, and an overall average of 26. I grocery shopped, picked up chicks, and hauled shit in that car and never had an issue. The only factor I would put there is is guilt... daily driving a vette makes you feel a little guilty... like you're putting miles on something you shouldn't be - once mine hit 60k I through it in the garage and bought another daily. Oh, and if you're into buying new factory tires, it will hammer you directly in your ass.

VW - blast to drive and one of the nicest interiors you will find under $35k. The APR tune really wakes them up and you will actually get better mpg with the chip. Only regret is not getting the 4 door, the backseat is fine for adults, but the 2 door makes it a pita when you need it.

The Vette. The VW is going to depreciate like a mother fucker in the next few years.

It's for a daily driver. I heard that was a full race car since he removed the power steering.

So true. It's almost turned into a game for me. Hate it!

    This.

I can't even bring myself to buy one of those cheap $200 Apads with Android on ebay....

Been trying to convince myself to upgrade from my netbook for over a week.
