Why are you crying so much about Chevy engines being in Fords? It's the owners money and if they wanted your douchey opinion they would have asked. They were smart and went fast for cheap. Work smarter, not harder. :wink1:

    They were shitty.

Is the Eco boost shitty? No.

Was the 2.3 turbo shitty? Hell no.

The grand national has always been a favorite car for me. So I won't knock the 3.8 turbo, GM did great on that car.
God damn dude, we're talking 30 years of technology advancement here. That's a pretty stupid comparison.

Do you really think that those engines back then would have been so shitty with the technology we have today ?

And bubbaearl pretty much said it best here.

the sbc is the most popular engine ever used in streetrods. it's popularity created a huge aftermarket industry . the rear sump and general size made it the easiest to swap into early fords. abundant parts at good prices made it the choice of most streetroders. to this day it is still the go to engine setup especially if resale is a concern. out of 10 potential buyers you may find one possibly two who would buy a ford motor streetrod.

I agree. However, I'm not going to spend more than 30 seconds trying to find something closer. Those are.... green apples to red ones perhaps? Add some bling to one, take away from the other. The point is the distributor, etc.

Where was the camaro at in the early 90s?

Look at the late 80s early 90s corvettes.

Hell a good running foxbody will give them a run for the money.

My clapped out coupe out ran a 87.
