Where is a 5 year old getting cited? The age for criminal culpability is 10 years of age.

Ok, then why are 5 year olds getting tickets? If what they are doing isn't illegal/criminal, there's nothing to report. Win for the kid/parents on not having to deal with BS tickets, win for the cop on not having to write BS tickets, and win for the school, as maybe they'll learn how to deal with kids instead of throwing up their hands and giving up.

This is outrageous. Time to start lawsuits against the school and demanding legislation that changes that

I've been on exactly the same call. 8 year old Hispanic girl would not get out of the car, so mom called 911.

Exactly. I've NEVER had to spank my nieces or nephews for anything. They know how I roll, and all I have to do is change my tone of voice and say "that's enough" or snap my fingers, and their current path of action is over. I know some parents are against spanking kids, but there are points where you need to give children a dose of "act right," and writing them a ticket isn't it. Why? Kids have no concept of money, the parents end up being the ones that pay for it, and the kids don't learn a lesson. Is it that hard to figure out? I'm a dumbass and this stuff comes across as common sense.

Outstanding. However, all the other 72 assholes on that aisle in Wal-Mart would be calling 911. Trust me I am all for an epic ass whoopin however there are actually to many laws that protect the children. LOL
