This reminds me of that story from Houston where some people were riding dirt bikes by some lake or river and some meth head white trash fuckwads thought "they were ZOMG trespassin' on mah properties!" and got a shotgun and started firing off a bunch of buck shot at the people.

They ended up hitting some ten year old in the head with the shotgun, it killed him. They got life in prison.

When I tried to inform him of his trespass, he took off and flipped me off. Odds are, according to my train of thought, he was scouting my property looking for something worth stealing. While you are correct, nothing you said is against your reading of the law, but I'd be willing to bet that if a similar situation happened and you decided to plug someone, you're going to jail. It's not how you interpret the law, but how judges/lawyers/jury interpret it. And if you were to take your 4x4 through my yard, according to what you posted I would be justified in shooting you, read the criminal mischief part. Riding a dirt bike at walking speed isn't tearing up anything.

Quit hiding behind your PTSD. Sure, it sucks what happened to you, I too appreciate your service, and your sacrifice. But you CONTINUALLY spout off stupid shit. This is one of them. Did you not read the section of the law you posted? Merely trespassing is not justification for shooting someone, and you will go to jail if you do. Say he stopped and picked something up that belonged to you, then the argument could be made, but if he's riding through at walking speed you have no right to shoot him.

Sounds like the dude tried to talk to you (rightfully so) and you fled.

He behaved badly, but so did you. You shouldn't be riding motorcycles on other peoples' property. Even at 20' and 2 MPH, those are excuses.
