I did the same thing, bought a car in Sept. from a board member that told me one story and I took him at his word. Now I'm stuck in a POS that doesn't look like it hit a deer (the story I got) but more like the vehicle was used to play chicken with a locomotive.
And I have no recourse, because I overlooked items because I trusted his word, and I don't want to blast him publically and everytime I drive it, I'm frustrated because of issues.
So I'm hoping I can deal with it until feb. or so and unload it on some unsuspecting college kid that either has tax refund coming or student loan money.

The police will not get involved.
Go repo the bike.

What legalities?
3 dudes and a pre-prepped ford ranger... Pillows and quilts in the bed, 2 ratcheting tie downs, license plate covered.
Park truck with the tailgate down. You and 3 friends literally get out, lift bike into bed and drive off. Driver and passenger get in open doors, two guys in bed ratchet down the bike with the quilt thrown over it as you all haul ass. Get a few streets to your other vehicle, remove plate cover, two friends in the bed drive off and so do you.
You have the title and bank statements verifying lack of payment. IF the police ever show up, show them this and the bill of sale listing payments needing to be made. They won't do shit since it's YOUR bike.
