I mean you post a pic and anyone can trace EXACTLY where you took it, isn't it kind of like a big deal?
It's kind of like a basic setting on the phone to change. I hear stupid shit like this every day. Big brother may be watching you, but he doesn't give a shit. FFS.
What the hell is there to discuss? Disable the GPS tagging in your phone and the problem is solved. Or, if you're going to post pics and don't want someone stripping out the EXIF data, remove it in Photoshop. It's a non-event.
May be old news to some, but thought I'd share it because it came as BIG news to me.
long story short: take a picture with your iPhone or Android, post it on twitter or photobucket or something and a stranger can pinpoint exact GPS location of where the picture was taken.
There is apparently even a site online which shows where girls on twitter live! Kind of sick considering we take pictures of our children sometimes.
Also apparently cops use this to bust idiot weed growers who don't know about this feature and take pictures of their plants and post them online to brag about it
