    I didn't read all 5 pages, but can you just tear out the carpet in the trunk and maybe clean it with a detergent then let it air out for a few days.

    If the bottle leaked because it tipped over, I don't see how they can be liable. Where's the personal responsibility? Even with a defective cap/seal, had YOU not allowed it to tip/spill, you wouln't have this problem. It's always someone elses fault
