    LMFAO! "People are dumb".

That's priceless when you just got called out for repeating obsamas talking points, which aren't factual, and which you obviously believed.

After not doing any research to check their validity.

It's actually a refining issue. We're exporting our excess. If we could refine more prices would come down.

On the prices, it costs more than you realize. My tank holds 29 gallons, and right now I'm spending an additional $20 each time I fill up. Once a week on average, so I'm spending an additional $1000 a year on fuel.

    Not bitching, just saying.

Gas prices were $1.74 when Obama took office. Natural Gas is being produced in mass because much of their drilling locations are on private land, which the government cannot interfere with. Because of that there is a large supply, therefore prices drop. The problem with Fuel prices is Canada and South/North Dakota have proven the ability to extract fossil fuels from shale and oil sands. They've projected we have 70 years of fuel in the US at minimum and that is taking into account our consumption remains the same (which it has dropped in the last several years). The problem is the majority of the shale is on government land, and Obama refuses to allow drilling and oil production. Obama's administration has completely banned new site licenses for off-shore and land based drilling. So essentially all of our supply that isn't currently operating on a government approved contract is nonexistent. As this continues we will increase our dependence on foreign oil with every passing month. This increases our fuel prices. Right now the momentary increase in fuel prices is in part due to retooling at refineries switching to the summer blend of fuel, it causes a momentary spike in fuel costs. However, the hormuz threats from Iran and the Israel tensions have added to it. Generally, the truth is the Obama moratorium on drilling permits will cause our fuel prices to increase. The Obama administration has gone on record stating it is their goal to cause fuel prices to rise. 3 members of his cabinet (including Obama himself) have stated they want fuel prices to rise. The sad thing is some of the very best drilling/petroleum experts are location right here in this country, and they are completely unable to produce the fuel we badly need because of the Obama administration's politics. As far as the Keystone pipeline, it's a requirement for the oil Canada plans to produce that it must travel to the US's refineries. They are located in Texas City and south Texas in general. The pipeline must pass over government land, which he is blocking and denying it to be ran. They have tried to change it's course around government land, however the Obama administration has blocked that as well due to a conspicuous interstate commerce clause. Essentially Canada and the US partner is waiting to see if Obama get's thrown out of office so they can get the approval to make the pipeline, if he is re-elected they will sell the oil to China.

LOL wow what a fucking democrat mouthpiece you are. Just because Obama says those numbers, doesn't mean they're true. As a matter of fact, they're completely wrong. People like you are the reason we're in this trouble. Because you believe everything this administration tells you. I want you to do some research yourself, and find out why they are wrong.

Obama and Steven Chu are now backpedaling as fast as they can, and doing as much damage control as possible.

    Whoops.

Yup everything that moves and winds up on the shelf has to get moved with that fuel and will increase in price to cover the increase.

Need a sure sign that rising gas prices are worrying the Obama White House? Note last week’s public humiliation of Energy Secretary Steven Chu. Asked at a Senate hearing about his infamous 2008 sta…

His admin killed the pipeline from Canada, and they've barely approved any permits for offshore drilling. This has caused the market to think were going to run low on oil and also requiring us to increase the money we have to spend on foreign oil. At least this is my understanding. He may not have personally raised prices but his admin's actions are causing the prices to rise IMO.

Anyway enough pot stirring for the day there's nothing I can do about it and will still buy it. Don't have a choice, if I don't show up to work I can get busted down kicked out. Fun times.
I don't think Obama or his cabinet have stopped it yet....may want to do yourself some research.....
