I was an E3 and not AA qualified and an NCO had me hook up the chains because he wanted to text his drinky girl. So, being a private and no idea what to do, hooked it up best I could figure. Instead of actually checking it out, he signed off on it. Long story short, it wound up in the top of a tree.

Dude, the military is so f'ed that way. I almost had 100-150 or so in tools charged to me that I lost out of inventory. (Sorry, can't remember specific names anymore) That was a huge amount of money for me and that was just some screwdrivers and a shovel. Replaced all from the pawn shop for like 15-20 bucks.

Almost got stuck have to pay for a new humvee engine too.
