It was fun when I was younger with all the Drama. But now that im older. I just dont have the time or energy for it myself.

But I just didnt relize how bad the Reputation was for this site till here the past couple years. Alot of members have just dropped off this site cause of the Drama. Im not naming names.

And please don't think I'm jumping on your ass, but from what you say above, it sounds like you are wanting to change this site to fit your changing needs. Maybe you need to find a less rambunctious and more mature site... one with more fiber and maybe some prune juice. It just Depends on what you need...

I cant tell you how many times I have bought Mustang stuff off Craigslist & said I was a member here & the look I get is disgust!

Hate to say it guys. But this site has a BAD REP for the members being RUDE & Drama here on this site, Most of the guys that have told me they dont post here is cause people have no manners on this site.

I think in time in the next 5 years or so. It would only be faithful members who post here & some other local site will take over.

The mods here on the site really need to reign it in & try & police the site better & start inforcing rules. There is no need for people to act the way they do here ohter then just being Rude cause they are safe behind a Keyboard!
No doubt majority of the members here dont have the balls to talk that way to people in person as they do here. I met this one Black guy who was HUGE I mean BUFF & he said if it wasnt for the fact that I was pretty cool in person & had size myself he would have tried to pick a fight with me had he known I was a member off this site. There are alot of people in Mustangs who avoid this site just cause of the members here

This site (DFWMustangs) has never been about attracting members, talking tech about Mustangs, and DAMN sure not about blowing sunshine up people's asses, it was made for the core group that interacted regularly from the old site, the crass jackasses that posted daily. If you cannot enjoy or handle the way this site is and has been for the last two years, maybe finding that Hello Kitty-My Little Pony Mustang website may more entertaining for you...

I swear, it is like people that build a house next to a race track, then start bitching about the noise....

Ive heard that, but have said that the site is great for what it is, and if you arent an idiot douchebag and have thick skin, you would be fine.

I dont think most people really grasp that the hard time given to the newbs is to weed out the undesireables. So if the site doesnt have this, then it becomes up to the mods to police all the users. Many will leave due to overmoderation, just as they have in the past.

The fact of the matter is that you can't make everyone happy all of the time. This site is an excellent local resource if you know how to use it. If you can't handle what goes on on it, it's your loss. People act like their delicate sensibilities being offended should actually result in some sort of action so they aren't "forced" to get in a huff if it happens again. This isn't a goddamn day care center.

I don't see why you would have a problem with it. The internet is big enough for everyone. Some people don't care for the vibe here so another board for people more active in the car stuff was made. No big deal really.
